We are a small town logging operation who has branched into land clearing. We have been in the buisness for 4 generations and are training the fifth.
We are a small logging operation located in Osceola, Missouri, about 100 miles south of Kansas City, Missouri. The company Belisle Logging was started by my father in 1981 but our lineage in the log woods goes back much further than that. My great grandfather Henry started logging in 1925 when his best machinery was a cross cut, a well sharpened ax, and a mule. Sense then my grandfather took it over and ran a sawmill back in the hills and bought logs from several loggers around and provided railroad ties to help the transportation of goods across the country. In 1981 my father "picked up the saw" so to speak when he founded Belisle Logging. He started out with a MS 044 Stihl chainsaw and a 706 international farm tractor. We have grown sense then to now having A feller buncher, 2 518 Caterpillar grapple log skidders, a skid steer and knuckleboom semi. We know the woods and how to responsibly harvest timber so it comes back bigger and better and will be harvestable again in 10 to 20 years. One thing my granddaddy taught me is that timber is like corn if its not harvested properly it will die and fall over and nobody gets any value. Also the over mature trees choke the life out of the smaller younger trees and dont let them grow.
We have also recently branched into land clearing. We can clear your land at little to no cost out of pocket for quallifying land. Most places can be cleared for only the wood we clear being the price. Call us for a quote and see if your land qualifies for our no cost program. Everyone that owns land has land that they wish they could reclaim but to hire a bulldozer is so expensive. This is a wonderful alternative to the high cost we are used to.
We have all heard that logging damages the wild life and ruins hunting. In my experience it does quite the opposite. I have had several clients come back after we have harvested and told me that they see way more deer and turkey on their place then they ever did before. Big bucks love our trails because they dont have to worry about brush and briars grabbing their antlers. Deer and turkey alike love to use the tops we leave behind on harvest jobs as habitats.
Does any of this sound like something you need on your land? Do you live near central Missouri or eastern Kansas? Give us a call and put your trust in the hands that have stood the test of time in the log woods and have always had a reputation as honest resposible loggers.
